NEWTOWN, PA (January 14, 2025) -- The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) announced the 2025 MAC Wrestling Pre-Championship Coaches' Poll on Tuesday morning as the Championship is scheduled for this Saturday, January 18^th in McGrane Gymnasium.  The King's College wrestling team tabbed seventh place voting with seven points. 

Alvernia will look to swoop in for their first championship with 34 points and four first place votes as the Golden Wolves have been runner-ups the last two years. The defending four-time champions, Stevens, look to gain their fifth championship as they were voted to take second with 33 points and the three remaining first place votes.

Delaware Valley slated third place voting with 24 points. Messiah took the fourth spot with 23 points. York and Misericordia tied for fifth with 13 points. 

The Monarchs will bring Richard Fronheiser as he was victorious in the 2024 MAC Championships with a podium third place finish at 197. Shane Kibler will also represent King's as he was recently ranked seventh regionally by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) at 149. Cole Anderson, Nick Germano, MJ Turi, Alex Ballantyne, and Nick Valenzano are no strangers to MAC Championships and will look to earn a podium finish at the 2025 MAC Championships. Jacob Hachtmann recently was ranked eighth in the region at 174 by the NWCA and will compete in his first MAC Championship Tournament. Also new to this year's tournament will be Patrick Horvath, Angel Avalos, Noah Clawson, Jordan Bentley, Jake Bobersky, Frankie Theroux, and Khalil Blagmon.
