The Women's Swim Team Fall to Moravian on Saturday Afternoon

BETHLEHEM, PA (January 25, 2025) -- The King's College women's swim team fell 92-37 to the Moravian Greyhounds 99-25 in Liberty High School Swimming Pool on Saturday afternoon.
 
In the first individual event of day, Mackenzie Huffer took second place in the 200-yard freestyle at 2:16.46, Esmeralda Romero came in at 2:43.36, and Lexi Nastanski at 3:27.24. In the 50-yard freestyle, Huffer attained another second place finish at 30.32, Romero clocked in at 32.07, and Nastanski rounded the group at 40.24. Makenna Unvarsky timed in at 2:43.70 in the 200-yard IM.
 
Unvarsky earned the top spot in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:04.59 and Nastanski came in at 1:37.18. Huffer took second at 2:36.55 in the 200-yard backstroke and Romero clocked in at 3:06.57. In the 200-yard backstroke, Unvarsky finished at 3:08.06.
 
In the team events, the King's relay team that consisted of Romero, Unvarsky, Huffer, and Nastanski competed in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 2:27.19. The same squad swam in the 200-yard freestyle relay and clocked in at 2:12.82.
 
The Monarchs will have a break before battling in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Swimming Championships February 13th-16th at Messiah University.
