ANNVILLE, PA (October 18, 2025) – The King's College women's swim team fell to Lebanon Valley by a score of 36-144 at the Arnold Sports Center Swimming Pool on Saturday afternoon. The loss puts the Monarchs at 0-3 overall while the Dutchmen get off to a 1-0 start to the season.
In the individual events,
Carla Hidalgo placed first in the 200-meter freestyle with a time of 2:39.11, while
Abigayle Cryan finished fourth at 4:20.68.
Athena Gerlek finished fifth at 5:14.84.
Aubrey Gowen earned a second-place finish in the 50-meter freestyle, touching the wall at 34.04. Hidalgo came in second in the 200-meter IM by clocking in a time of 2:48.97; only 15 milliseconds away from first.
In the 100-meter freestyle, Gowen finished second, swimming a time of 1:18.15. Cryan placed fifth after a time of 1:50.30 and Gerlek rounded the group placing sixth at 2:16.29.
Stefany Malaga clocked in a time of 1:25.31 to record a third-place finish in the 100-meter backstroke. In the 400-meter freestyle, Cryan finished fourth with a time of 9:18.80.
The Monarchs competed in one team event of the day, but were disqualified in the 200-meter freestyle relay.
King's women's swim returns to the pool next Saturday at the Huntsinger Aquatics Center in Frederick, MD to take on Hood College at 1:00 PM.
