EDWARDSVILLE, PA (October 19, 2025) -- The King's College men's tennis team concluded its 2025 fall slate on Sunday at the Wilkes Doubles Invitational, held at Kirby Park. Facing a strong regional field, the Monarchs showcased their depth across multiple flights, using the event as a final tune-up before the spring portion of the season.

The Pod 2 tandem of
Amir Samadian and
Gavin Hall opened the packed day of matches with a 6-0 defeat against a talented Wilkes pairing. Samadian and Hall followed up the result with a 6-0 loss to an Alfred duo. The Monarch duo hung tough in the final match of the morning's opening segment, earning a game against the pairing from Moravian before falling 6-1.

Over in Pod 8, the King's duo of
Logan Tomkins and
Zackary Bedwell opened their slate of matches with a closely-contested 6-4 loss to Misericordia. The pairing continued to battle against Wilkes, capturing four games from the Colonels' pairing, but ultimately dropping the contest 6-4. In their final match of the morning segment, Tomkins and Bedwell surrendered a 6-0 result to a competitive Alfred squad.

Samadian and Hall found their rhythm in the afternoon portion of Sunday's action, securing four games in the 6-4 loss to Wilkes. They had another strong showing against a Moravian pairing, winning four more games in a 6-4 result. The Monarch duo capped the day by dropping a 6–2 decision to Alfred.

Tomkins and Bedwell came out strong in the session, using a commanding performance to earn the team's first win of the invitational, toppling a Wilkes tandem 6-1. The Monarch unit secured a game in the final match of the day's festivities, falling 6-1 to a pairing from Rowan College of South Jersey.
King's men's tennis hit the courts once again in March to open their 2026 spring campaign.
