ONEONTA, NY (November 1, 2025) – The King's College women's swim team fell to Nazareth 34-188 and host Hartwick College 12-273 in a tri-meet at the Sally Griffiths Herbert '88 Aquatics Center on Saturday Afternoon. The team's record now sits at 0-8 overall this season.
In the individual events,
Abigayle Cryan finished eighth in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 3:36.28, while teammate
Athena Gerlek finished ninth swimming a time of 4:04.82.
Stefany Malaga Nunez placed seventh in the 100 yard backstroke, touching the wall at 1:18.42.
Aubrey Gowen claimed sixth in the 100-yard breaststroke swimming to the block at 1:32.66.
In the 50-yard freestyle, Gowen and Gerlek earned eighth and ninth respectively, as Gowen received a time of 32.45 and Gerlek at 49.40.
Cryan swam a time of 1:35.40 in the 100-yard freestyle to earn sixth, while Gerlek finished seventh in 1:51.41.
Gowen placed fifth in 200-yard breaststroke by swimming a time of 3:24.95. In the 200-yard IM, Nunez touched the block at 3:06.26 placing seventh.
The Monarch's competed in one team event, as the squad of Gerlek, Gowen, Cryan and Nunez finished fifth out of five teams with a time of 2:30.89.
The women's swim team returns to the pool next Saturday, taking on Stevenson at the Rosenberg Aquatic Center in Owing Mills, Maryland at 1:00 p.m.
