WILKES-BARRE, PA (November 15, 2025)-- The King's College wrestling team dropped a 37–7 decision to Gettysburg on Saturday afternoon inside McGrane Gymnasium, with wrestlers also competing at the Wilkes Men's Invitational.

Sid O'Donnell opened the dual on a strong note at 125, securing a 7-3 decision to put the Monarchs on the board early. At 133,
Cole Anderson battled through a tight matchup before falling in a 9-6 decision, and
Jacob Torres came up short in an 8-3 bout at 141 against Brendan Callahan, the No. 1 ranked wrestler in Region III. Gettysburg added 10 points at 149 and 157 with a first-period pin and a major decision from regionally ranked Gavin Pascoe.
Mason Mordan wrestled tough at 165 but was edged in an 11-2 major decision by the top wrestler in the region, Justin Richey.
Jacob Hachtmann fought through seven full minutes at 174 before Gettysburg extended their lead with a technical fall in a regionally ranked matchup against Ethan Composto. The Monarchs picked up their second win of the day at 184, where the sixth ranked wrestler in the region,
Frankie Theroux, delivered an 8-0 major decision to make it 25-7.
Gettysburg closed out the dual with back-to-back pins at 197 and heavyweight, including one from Phil Nave, who is currently ranked fifth in the region. These two results brought the final score to a tally of 37-7 in favor of the Bullets.
Wilkes Men's Invitational
A contingent of King's wrestlers competed at the Wilkes Men's Invitational, facing a stacked field of talented opponents from across the region. Freshman
Conor Knight led the Monarchs by finishing in the top 12 of the 157-pound weight class.

Sean Hazlett were the other King's wrestlers to see action on the mat, all contributing to a strong team effort throughout the day.
King's wrestling returns to the mat on Saturday, November 22, as the Monarchs head to Olivet, MI for the Comet Duals which are set to start at 9:00 a.m.
