OWINGS MILLS, MD (November 8, 2025) -- The King's College women's swim team hit the road to take on Stevenson University and Wilkes University in a tri-meet, Saturday afternoon at the Huntsinger Aquatics Center. The Monarchs suffered a 210-27 setback against the Mustangs while falling to the Colonels, 162-40. With the results, King's record now stands at 0-10.

In the individual events,
Athena Gerlek placed eighth with a time of 3:51.80 in the 200-yard freestyle, while teammate
Abigayle Cryan earned ninth with a time of 4:10.17.

In the 100-yard backstroke,
Mackenzie Huffer finished third touching the block in 1:18.16.
Aubrey Gowen claimed seventh in the 100-yard breaststroke swimming to the wall in 1:35.74.

Huffer posted a third place spot in the 50-yard freestyle recording a time of 29.33, while teammates Cryan and Gerlek earned eighth and ninth respectively, with times of 42.91 and 48.60.

In the 100-yard freestyle, Huffer finished fourth in 1:04.80, Gowen claimed seventh in 1;12.80, and Gerlek clocked in at 1:48.53 to place ninth.

Gowen swam a time of 3:25.55 posting a sixth place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke.

The team competed in one group event of the day, finishing in fourth out of four teams in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The squad of Gerlek, Gowen, Cryan, and Huffer touched the block in 2:32.99.
The Monarchs return to action next Saturday, playing host to SUNY-Delhi in the first home meet of the season at the Scandlon Natatorium at 12:00.
