WILKES-BARRE, PA (December 16, 2025) — Behind a career-high performance from Gianna Dickson, the King's College women's basketball team led from start to finish on Monday night, defeating Centenary University 71–46 inside Scandlon Gymnasium as they extend their win streak to 6 games. The Monarchs improved to 6–2 on the season with the home victory.
King's set the tone defensively from the opening tip, holding Centenary to just six points in the first quarter while building a 16–6 advantage. The Monarchs continued to control the pace in the second period, using balanced scoring and strong rebounding to extend the lead to 33–15 at halftime.
Centenary found some offensive rhythm in the third quarter, but King's answered with timely shooting and defensive stops to maintain control. The Monarchs then closed the game in dominant fashion, outscoring the Cyclones 22–18 in the fourth to secure the 25-point win.
Dickson delivered the best performance of her collegiate career, finishing with a game-high 29 points on 11-of-27 shooting, including four three-pointers, while adding five rebounds. Cadie Lewis followed with 20 points, eight assists, seven rebounds, and three steals, while Lauren Casey continued her strong play in the paint with 15 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists for a double-double.
Claire Aufiero contributed across the stat sheet with eight rebounds and four assists, and Irelynd Long added key perimeter defense while knocking down a three. Off the bench, Layla Orth and Taylor Hough provided solid minutes, combining for six rebounds and defensive presence inside.
As a team, King's shot 35.2 percent from the field and an efficient 38.7 percent from three-point range, knocking down 12 triples. The Monarchs won the rebounding battle 45–41, forced 21 turnovers, and scored 18 points off those miscues while holding Centenary without a made three-pointer on the night.
The Monarchs will return to action when they head to Puerto Rico for the Puerto Rico College Sports Tours Clasico. King's will face off against Salisbury on December 28 at 1:00 PM EST.
