WILKES-BARRE, PA (December 22, 2025) -- With just under a month until first pitch, the King's College baseball team and Head Coach Jerry Greeley announced the 2026 spring schedule on Monday afternoon. The 40-game slate features 20 home games - 18 at Lipo Field and two at Shautz Stadium - as well as a spring break trip to the Ripken Complex in March.
The Monarchs open the season on the road with a doubleheader at Stevenson University on February 21. King's returns home for back-to-back non-conference matchups against Penn State Scranton on February 26 and March 3 at Shautz Stadium. The team then travels to Moravian University on March 4.
King's will spend spring break at the Ripken Complex in Aberdeen, Maryland; playing five games in three consecutive days of competition. The Monarchs face Notre Dame of Maryland University in a doubleheader on March 9, followed by another twin bill against St. Mary's College of Maryland on March 10. The trip concludes with a single game against Wilson College on March 11.
Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom play begins with a home-and-home series with Lebanon Valley on March 14 and 15. The Monarchs then host SUNY Poly on March 17 and Plattsburgh State on March 18 before welcoming DeSales University to Lipo Field on March 20. King's travels to DeSales for a doubleheader on March 21 and visits Marywood University on March 24.
The Monarchs return home for a doubleheader against Arcadia on March 28 after a road contest at Arcadia on March 27. April opens with a trip to Misericordia on April 1, followed by a home doubleheader against the Cougars on April 2. King's continues its home stretch with Moravian on April 6, Penn State Hazleton on April 7, and FDU-Florham on April 10 before traveling to FDU for a doubleheader on April 11.
The team hosts Cairn University on April 13 and then face Stevens in a home doubleheader on April 18 after a road game against the Ducks on April 16. The regular season nears a close with home games against Marywood (April 21), Penn State Berks (April 22) and Delaware Valley (April 24) before wrapping up MAC Freedom play with a road doubleheader against the Aggies on April 25.
The regular season concludes with a matchup with cross-town rival Wilkes University on April 29.
The 2026 MAC Freedom Championships get underway with a best-of-three series on May 1-2, and conclude with the championship series on May 8-9 with an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Baseball Championships on the line.
