COLMAR, PA (February 15, 2025) – The King's College women's ice hockey team dropped a 5-0 road contest to Arcadia at the Hatfield Ice Arena on Saturday afternoon. With the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) loss, the Monarchs fall to 5-15-3, 5-12-3 in conference play as the Knights move to 18-3-3, 16-2-2. First year goaltender
Will McPherson notched 71 saves in net for the Monarchs.
Arcadia scored two goals to start off the first period, the first at 3:26 from Morganne Dee off an assist from Hannah O'Rourke and the second at 5:41 from Haylee Kos with assists from Ariel Williamson and Karahkwenhawe White.
In the second period, Drew Kuretsky was sent to the penalty box at 1:03 for tripping, ultimately resulting in a short handed goal from Carys Jelley at 3:00 off assists from Izzy Gershtein and Berklee Hibbard to make the score 3-0. Kos scored the next two goals for the Knights, her second of the game coming unassisted at 10:02 in the second period and at 13:20 in the third with assists from White and Gershtein. The 5-0 score stood in favor of Arcadia as time expired.
Ani Quindipan led the Monarchs with 3 blocks as McPherson notched 71 saves on the afternoon.
The Monarchs play their final regular season game next Friday, February 21 as they host the Knights of Neumann University at 7 p.m. at the Revolution Ice Centre.
