John Toussaint collected a singles win on Tuesday morning to lead the King's College men's tennis team in a 6-1 setback to Loras College in Orlando, FL. The Monarchs fall to 2-3 overall, while the Duhawks improve to 3-5.

Toussaint battled through his No. 1 singles match with Diego Mejias, falling in the first set 6-1 before responding with a 6-4 set two victory to force the deciding third set. Toussaint topped the Duhawk foe with a thrilling 10-7 win in the third to secure the match for the Monarchs.

In singles action,
Patrick Pech also fought his way through a three-set thriller. He defeated Gage Becker, 6-3, in the first before dropping the second, 6-3, and third, 10-0, in the No. 2 singles match. At No. 3 singles,
Cody Zheng dropped a pair of 6-3 decisions to Sam Canas Guerrero, while
Gavin Hall fell, 6-2 and 6-0, at No. 4 singles to Andrew Day.
Amir Samadian was downed by sets of 6-2 and 6-0 at No. 5 singles to Henry Condo, while Jack Seda defeated
Zackary Bedwell at No. 6 singles by sets of 6-0 and 6-4.

Doubles action saw Toussaint and Pech fight to a 6-3 setback at No. 1 doubles, while Zheng and Hall fell, 6-1 at No. 2 doubles. Bedwell and Samadian rounded out the doubles action with a  6-2 loss at No. 3 doubles.

King's will be back on the courts tomorrow afternoon in Florida, taking on Ohio Wesleyan at 3:30 p.m.
