ORLANDO, FL (March 13, 2025) -- On Thursday morning, the King's College women's tennis team wrapped up their annual spring training trip in Orlando, FL with a 7-0 setback to the University of Northwestern (MN). The Monarchs drop to 0-6, while the Eagles improve to 3-5.

Both No. 1 and No. 2 singles matches were three-set thrillers on Thursday in Florida.
Ashley Kenia won the first set, 6-4, against Abby Johnson before falling, 7-6 and 10-5, in the final two.
Carlee Dellose dropped her first set, 6-1, to Paige Johnson and battled back to take the second, 6-2. She then fell, 10-8, in the deciding third set. At No. 3 singles,
Hailey D'Amato fell, 6-0 and 6-2, to Elise Jarchow, while
Sarah Stettler dropped sets of 6-0 and 6-1 at No. 4 singles to Aby Ross.
Emma Rooney battled in her first set before losing, 7-6, and then fell 6-1 in the second to Caitlyn Swigart at No. 5 singles, and
Morgan Eiswerth dropped a pair of 6-0 decisions to Isabelle Sullivan at No. 6 singles.

In doubles play, Kenia and Dellose fell, 6-1, at No 1 doubles, D'Amato and Stettler dropped a 6-0 decision at No. 2 doubles, and Rooney and
Betsy Allen lost by a score of 6-3 at No. 3 doubles.

The Monarchs will return north and prepare for their upcoming spring home opener at Kirby Park on Sunday, March 16 as they host Moravian University at noon.
