WILLIAMSPORT, PA (March 21, 2025) -- The King's College men's tennis team pulled off a nail biting 4-3 victory over Penn College on Friday afternoon at the Central PA Tennis Center. The Monarchs improve to 3-5 overall, while the Wildcats drop to 1-5.

King's picked up important singles wins as
John Toussaint topped Alexander Norris at No. 1 singles, 6-2 and 6-3.
Patrick Pech then battled at No. 2 singles, winning the first 6-2 before falling 6-0 in the second. Pech pulled out the win over John Finnegan, 10-8, in the final set to secure the win.
Amir Samadian earned the final singles win in the match, 6-4 and 6-2, at No. 5 singles over Hunter Knosky.

In doubles play, Pech and
Jacob Nelson defeated their Wildcat foes, 6-3, at No. 2 doubles, while
Gavin Hall and Samadian topped the Wildcats 6-4 at No. 3 doubles.

Cody Zheng dropped his No. 3 singles match, 6-4 and 6-3, to Logan Ogden, while Hall fell in a thriller, losing set one 6-3, winning the second 6-1, and falling 12-10 in the third to Seth Priestman at No. 4 singles.
Zackary Bedwell rounded out singles action with setbacks of 6-1 and 6-2 to Matt Williams at No. 6 singles. The No. 1 doubles pair of Toussaint and Zheng fell in a tough 7-5 match to the Wildcats.

The Monarchs will be off for the next week before returning to the courts on Saturday, March 29 on the road at Elizabethtown College at 2:00 p.m.
