Three Monarchs Honored as 2025 Scholar NWCA All-Americans

MANHEIM, PA (March 24, 2025) -- On Friday afternoon, the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) announced the 2024-2025 Scholar All-American Team and Individual honorees for NCAA Division III, with 464 individuals. The King's College wrestling team witnessed three student-athletes recognized, as senior Richard Fronheiser, junior Patrick Horvath, and sophomore Jacob Hachtmann were honored with the award.

Fronheiser, an accounting major, earned his third accolade in his career, with picking up the honor in 2023 and 2024. Horvath, a exercise science major, and Hatchmann, a physical education major, collected their first recognition as Scholar All-Americans. This year marks the sixth straight season that the Monarchs were honored on the list by the NWCA. The total King's student-athletes on the NWCA Scholar All-American Team now stands at 47 with the latest installment of the award. 

NWCA Executive Director Mike Moyer stated, "The NWCA is proud to honor these outstanding individuals who demonstrate excellence on the mat and in the classroom as well."

In the team competition, Ohio Northern University led with a 3.899 GPA, Heidelberg University was right behind with a 3.82 GPA, and Augsburg University was in third with a 3.81 GPA. In the individual awards, Augsburg University had the most honorees with 21 student-athletes.
