Women's Lacrosse Down Centenary on Senior Day

WILKES-BARRE, PA (March 29, 2025) -- It was a successful senior Saturday for the King's College women's lacrosse team as they dropped the Centenary Cyclones 15-4.
 
The Monarchs (4-4) had all the control in the first half of the afternoon with 11 unanswered goals. In this stretch, the squad saw Chloe Burke, Alli Lindsay, Sarah Schultz, and Maria Schneider find the back of the net several times.
 
After a successful clear attempt, Lindsay found Sarah Schultz for a King's goal at 12:49. The Monarch defense worked diligently as Centenary (4-3) had several shots on goal. Ani Quindipan collected several saves, but on a free position attempt, the Cyclones slipped in a goal at 8:40 of the third quarter. King's responded back quickly and Emily Kane got in the mix with her first career goal at 7:28. The remainder of the quarter was scoreless as King's had a steady 13-1 lead.
 
Centenary found the back of the net at 13:33 of the fourth quarter. The Cyclones looked to gain momentum, but the Monarchs had every answer. Emilee Schultz capitalized on back-to-back cards to earn a player-up goal at 8:23. Down the stretch, Centenary made a 2-1 run before falling to King's 15-4 at the final buzzer.
 
The Monarchs ended with 36 shots, 13-17 clears, 47 ground balls, 14 draw controls, and 17 caused turnovers. Lindsay paced the squad with seven points on three goals and four assists with seven draw controls and seven ground balls. Schneider was right behind with six points on four goals and two assists with eight ground balls and four draw controls. Burke added four goals and four caused turnovers to the stat sheet. Sarah Schultz collected seven ground balls, two goals, and two assists. Quindipan earned a season-high 11 saves between the posts.
 
The Cyclones' Nora Dornich had three goals, three ground balls, three draw controls, and two caused turnovers. Lauren Helder picked up six ground balls and Pauline Mrad had five. Saoirse Twomey pushed the defense with three caused turnovers. In goal, Autumn Thame-Knox produced nine saves and four ground balls.
 
King's will begin conference play on Wednesday, April 2nd at 5 p.m. against Misericordia in McCarthy Stadium.
