CHESTER, PA (March 29, 2025) --
Ava Butcher and
Victoria Zultevicz set new records amid a day of several personal bests as the King's College women's outdoor track and field team competed in day two of the Danny Curran Invitational at Widener University on Saturday.
On the Track
100 Meter Dash
Abigail Springer placed 23
rd out of 92 runners in 13.20 seconds. Cortland State's Autumn Pittman won the event in 12.23 seconds.
200 Meter Dash
Ava Butcher led the Monarchs in the event with a personal best time of 26.72 seconds, while
Abigail Springer was just behind in 26.73 seconds as the pair finished 26
th and 27
th, respectively.
Nicole Zambetti was the next to finish in 29.04 seconds. Divonne Franklin recorded the top time in 24.91 seconds.
400 Meter Dash
Ava Butcher set a new outdoor program record in 59.16 seconds to place fifth overall, edging out her previous time of 1:00.20 set last weekend at the Monarch Invitational.
Nicole Zambetti finished in 1:04.97, while
Sarah Hartzell posted a personal best time of 1:10.58. Tess Crossan of Division I St. Joseph's was the top finisher in 56.53 seconds.
800 Meter Run
Linsdey Eyer paced King's in the event with a personal best time of 2:36.85, while
Samantha Adams finished in a personal best time of 2:45.87. Ava Curry of Division I St. Joseph's was the first to cross in 2:14.50.
1,500 Meter Run
Shelby Shepanski was first to cross for King's with a time of 6:01.28, while
Mara Ryan finished in a personal best time of 6:06.76. Division I St. Joseph's Majken Lutzen was the top finisher in 4:32.51.
100 Meter Hurdles
Victoria Zultevicz set a new outdoor program record in the event, finishing second overall in 15.37 seconds and topping Emily Harrington's time of 15.41 seconds from the 2019 King's Holiday Invitational. Rowan's Nyla Jones won the event in 14.93 seconds.
In the Field
Pole Vault
Victoria Zultevicz tied for sixth overall as she cleared a height of 3.05 meters. Division II West Chester's Annika Hummel won the event with a height of 3.65 meters.
Hammer Throw
Katey Shoemaker finished second overall with a throw of 50.10 meters, while
Caitlin Kirk took fourth with a personal best mark of 48.02 meters.
Anna Bellucci also cracked the top 10 in seventh with a toss of 43.56 meters. Cortland State's Cheyenne McPeek won the event with a throw of 50.48 meters.
Javelin Throw
Sarah Hartzell recorded a mark of 25.21 meters in the event. Diamond Eaddy of Rowan was the top finisher with a mark of 38.34 meters.

King's sets its sights on a busy weekend ahead as they will compete in the Misericordia Twilight Meet on Friday before taking on the Ursinus Track & Field Festival on Saturday.
