NEWTOWN, PA (March 6, 2025) - On Thursday morning, the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) released it's 2024-25 All-MAC Men's Ice Hockey teams, handing
Kent Lee,
Ethan Hersant and
Diego D'Alessandro post-season honors. Lee was awarded Co-Offensive Player of the Year, alongside Matt Dimaline of Neumann. Lee and Hersant were both named to the All-MAC First Team with D'Alessandro on the Second Team.
Lee had the strongest season of his career with the Monarchs, recording 11 goals and 22 assists for 33 points to claim several new program records. The Misawa, Japan native tallied a hat trick for the second time of his career this season and posted six power play goals and three game winning goals. He was also named MAC Offensive Player of the Week after scoring four goals and adding two assists for six points off nine shots in a 1-1 split with Misericordia in December. He started the week with a goal off three shots in the 4-2 setback in the first game, going on to record a hat trick with five points, three goals and two assists off six shots in the 6-0 shutout win in game two. The senior is the newest King's College men's ice hockey leader in career points (87), goals (30), assists (57), assists per game (0.60), shots on goal (184), power-play goals (12), game-winning goals (7) and games played (96).
In just his second season with King's, Hersant has been a game changer for the Monarchs, recording 15 goals and 15 assists for 30 points off 113 shots this season. He was named the MAC Offensive Player of the Week in November after posting six points on two goals and four assists off 12 shots, including one short-handed goal, while also going 39-for-68 (57.3%) on face offs in two games against Neumann. Hersant's season-highs include his second career hat trick against Alvernia and three assists against SUNY Morrisville. The Victoria, British Columbia native is the newest program leader in single-season goals (15), short-handed goals (4), face off wins (326), career points per game (1.12), career goals per game (0.59), and career short-handed goals (6).
D'Alessandro was a standout goaltender for the Monarchs through the 2024-25 campaign, collecting 311 saves for a .945 save percentage with just 18 goals allowed to conclude the season with a 6-3-1 record overall. The sophomore tabbed MAC Defensive Player of the Week honors for three-straight weeks this season and set new program records for goalie wins in a season (6), save percentage in a season (.945), goals against average in a season (1.81), career goalie save percentage (.916) and career goals against average (2.84).
