GLENSIDE, PA (April 13, 2025) --
Cody Zheng had two wins on the day, while
Brendan Turowski won his singles match to lead the King's College men's tennis team in a 5-2 setback at Arcadia University in Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) play. With Sunday's loss, the Monarchs move to 4-8 overall and 1-1 in the conference, while the Knights improve to 4-5 and 2-1 in the standings.

Zheng picked up a win in a battle at No. 3 singles, dropping the first, 6-3, before rallying to win the next two, 6-4 and 7-5, to defeat Cole Goodman-Gary. Turowski downed Lee Conlu at No. 4 singles after falling, 6-1, in the first and behind wins of 6-4 and 7-5 in the next two. Zheng also partnered up with
John Toussaint to earn a win at No. 1 singles, 6-3, over their Knights foes.

At No. 1 singles, Toussaint fell, 6-4 and 6-3, to Aaron Allen, while
Patrick Pech dropped sets of 6-4 and 7-5 at No. 2 singles to Kevin McHale. The No. 5 singles match saw
Amir Samadian downed by sets of 6-4 and 6-1 to Matthew Nagy, and
Gavin Hall lost, 7(3)-6 and 6-0, at No. 6 singles to Leo Dupont.

The No. 2 doubles match saw Pech and Turowski drop a 6-4 decision, while
Jacob Nelson and Samadian lost by a score of 6-3 at No. 3 doubles to the Knights.

King's sets its sights on a three-match home stand at Kirby Park, starting on Tuesday, April 15 against Lebanon Valley at 3:00 p.m. in MAC Freedom play.
