WILKES-BARRE, PA (April 16, 2025) --
Patrick Pech picked up the lone win in the match for the King's College men's tennis team in a 6-1 setback to FDU-Florham on Wednesday afternoon. With the setback at Kirby Park in the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) match, the Monarchs move to 4-9 overall and 1-2 in the standings, while the Devils improve to 6-4 and remain unbeaten at 3-0 in the conference.

Pech secured his win at No. 2 singles, toppling Ronald Duval by sets of 6-0 and 6-1.

John Toussaint fell at No. 1 singles, 6-1 and 6-4, to Matthew Emery, while
Cody Zheng dropped a pair of 6-3 sets at No. 3 singles to Kelvin Liwag. The No. 4 singles match saw
Brendan Turowski downed, 6-3 and 7-6, by Nicholas Weglinski.
Amir Samadian lost his No. 5 singles match, 6-0 and 6-1, to Chase Miller, and
Gavin Hall dropped decisions of 6-3 and 6-0 at No. 6 singles to Jaden Andresen.

In doubles play, Toussaint and Zheng fell, 6-1, at No. 1 doubles, while Pech and Turowski dropped a 6-4 decision at No. 2 doubles.
Jacob Nelson and Samadian battled at No. 3 doubles before losing, 7-5.

The Monarchs will return to the courts on Thursday, April 24 as they host Lebanon Valley College in a MAC Freedom match at Kirby Park at 3:00 p.m.
