WILKES-BARRE, PA (April 24, 2025) -- The King's College women's tennis team fell, 7-0, to the visiting Lebanon Valley College in their Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) match on a sunny Thursday afternoon at Kirby Park. The Monarchs fall to 3-10 overall and 1-3 in the conference, while the Flying Dutchmen improve to 10-8 with a 4-1 conference mark.
In singles action,
Ashley Kenia fell, 6-2 and 6-3, at No. 1 singles to Sarah McComas, while
Kiki Nweje dropped sets of 6-0 and 6-1 at No. 2 singles to Catherine Stone. At No. 3 singles,
Carlee Dellose lost sets of 6-3 and 6-1 to Erika Badner, while
Sarah Stettler was downed, 6-1 and 6-0, by Megan Martin at No. 4 singles.
Betsy Allen fell, 6-0 and 6-1, to Katie Berra at No. 5 singles, while
Morgan Eiswerth dropped sets of 6-2 and 6-1 at No. 6 singles to Laken Kelly.
Doubles play saw Kenia and
Hailey D'Amato fall, 6-1, at No. 1 doubles, while Stettler and Dellose dropped a 6-3 decision at No. 2 doubles. Eiswerth and Allen rounded out doubles play with a 6-1 setback at No. 3 doubles.
The Monarchs continue a busy weekend tomorrow afternoon as they host DeSales University in MAC Freedom play at 4:00 p.m. at Kirby Park.
