Men’s Lacrosse Falls to Lebanon Valley in MAC Freedom Home Opener

WILKES-BARRE, PA (April 5, 2025) – The King's College men's lacrosse team fell to the Flying Dutchmen of Lebanon Valley College 15-7 on a rainy Saturday afternoon at McCarthy Stadium. With the loss, the Monarchs move to 1-9 overall, 0-2 in Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom play as the Flying Dutchmen improve to 6-5, 1-0 in conference. Grant Parshall led King's with two goals.

The Flying Dutchmen scored four goals right out the gate in the first quarter before the Monarchs could find an offensive spark. At 4:36 in the first, Matt Dellapi scored the first goal of the game for the Monarchs and his third of the season, unassisted. 12 seconds later, Dellapi set up Jake Cierech for a goal to cut Lebanon Valley's lead to 4-2. The Dutchmen capped off the first quarter with one more goal and scored the lone goal of the second quarter to take a 6-2 lead going into halftime.

After the break, Ryan Lynch got the offense going with a goal at 14:24 off an assist from Cierech and Brenden Lynch added an unassisted goal at 9:42 to make it 6-4. The Dutchmen went on to score four unanswered goals and go into the fourth quarter with a 10-4 lead.

John Wall scored an unassisted goal at 14:28, Grant Parshall an unassisted goal at 11:15, and Wall assisting in Parshall's second goal of the game at 3:41, but the effort fell shy as Lebanon Valley scored five goals in the final quarter to secure the 15-7 conference win.

Dellapi went 17-25 in face offs on the afternoon with one goal and one assist for two points, four shots and nine ground balls. Wall followed suit with one goal and one assist for two points, six shots and seven ground balls. Ryan Rickards posted 14 saves in goal.
