DALLAS, PA (April 9, 2025) -- In their Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) opener, the King's College women's tennis team was blanked, 7-0, to Misericordia University on the road on Wednesday afternoon. With the setback, the Monarchs drop to 2-8 overall and 0-1 in the conference, while the Cougars improve to 6-2 and 2-1 in the MAC Freedom standings.

In singles play,
Kiki Nweje lost, 6-1 and 7-3, to Hailey Loughlin at No. 1 singles, while
Ashley Kenia dropped sets of 6-3 and 6-2 at No. 2 singles to Lydia Barbour. At No. 3 singles,
Carlee Dellose was downed by scores of 6-3 and 6-1 to Erin Cridge, and
Sarah Stettler fell by scores of 7-5 and 6-3 at No. 4 singles to Tessie Thomas. The No. 5 singles match saw
Betsy Allen lose, 6-1 and 6-2, to Ashlynn Miller, and
Morgan Eiswerth was blanked 8-0 at No. 6 singles by Sam Wallitsch.

Kenia and Dellose at No. 1 singles, 7-5, to the Cougars pair, while both Nweje and Stettler at No. 2 doubles and Allen and Eiswerth at No. 3 doubles dropped 6-2 decisions to their Misericordia foes.

The Monarchs match against DeSales scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed due to weather, with make up date to be determined. King's is currently set to take on Arcadia University on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. in Glenside, Pa.
