INDIANAPOLIS, IN (May 16, 2025) --The NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Track and Field Committee announced today the participants in the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships. For the first time since 2021-22 indoor season, the King's College track and field program will send a student-athlete to the championship meet as junior Brandy Varner has qualified to compete in the women's discus throw.

For each individual event contested, including the decathlon and heptathlon, the top 22 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition. For each relay event contested, the top 16 declared relay teams, one per institution, were accepted into the competition. Varner qualified for the discus throw with the 10th-best mark this outdoor season at 46.09 meters, a King's outdoor program record, from the Widener Final Qualifier this past Monday.

The junior is the first King's National Qualifier since Justin Le Cadre reached the championship meet during the indoor season in 2021-22 in the men's shot put. She is also the first women's qualifier since Cayle Spencer made the championship meet in the javelin throw in 2019. Varner represents the program's 12th National Qualifier appearance and seventh individual since the program began varsity competition in 2015-16.

The championships will be held May 22-24 at SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio. Varner will compete in the discus throw on Thursday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. with both the preliminary and finals heats at that time.
