Women's Track and Field Tabs Five on CSC Academic All-District® Team

WILKES-BARRE, PA (June 24, 2025) -- On Tuesday afternoon, the College Sports Communicators (CSC) unveiled their final CSC Academic All-District® teams, first with women's track and field. This season, the King's College women's track and field team placed five on the list, including seniors Maddy Armitage, Ava Butcher, and Victoria Zultevicz, junior Katey Shoemaker, and sophomore Caitlin Kirk.

Armitage earns her third CSC Academic All-District® recognition for her career this season. The senior high jumper earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors for the outdoor season, ranking third with her mark of 1.62 meters from the Misericordia Twilight Meet. She also placed ninth in the region during the indoor season with a height of 1.58 meters. A physician assistant major, Armitage finished the 2024-25 academic year with a 3.60 cumulative GPA.

Butcher collects her first CSC Academic All-District® nod in her career. She ranked 12th in the Mid-Atlantic region in the 400 meter dash with her program-record time of 58.65 seconds from the 2025 MAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships to collect the honor. She also ranked in the top-50 in the indoor 400 meter dash and both indoor and outdoor 200 meter dash while running on the top-50 for the indoor and outdoor 4x400 meter relay and the outdoor 4x100 meter relay teams. An education major, Butcher posted a 3.96 cumulative GPA at the conclusion of the Spring 2025 semester.

Zultevicz tabs her third CSC Academic All-District® accolade for her career, finishing fourth in the Mid-Atlantic region and earning USTFCCCA All-Region honors in the 60 meter hurdles in 9.20 seconds and the outdoor pole vault for her height of 3.60 meters. Additionally, Zultevicz placed in the top-50 regionally in the outdoor heptathlon, outdoor 100 meter hurdles, indoor pentathlon, indoor pole vault, outdoor 400 meter hurdles, outdoor 200 meter dash, both indoor and outdoor long jump, and as part of the outdoor 4x100 meter relay team. The 2025 King's Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year finished with a 3.99 cumulative GPA as a biochemistry and molecular biology major.

Shoemaker appears on her second career CSC Academic All-District® team for track and field as a junior. She earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors as she ranked second in both the outdoor hammer throw with her mark of 51.75 meters and the indoor weight throw with her mark of 15.85 meters. Shoemaker also finished in the top-50 in the region in the outdoor javelin throw and outdoor discus throw. An early elementary education major, she recorded a 3.72 cumulative GPA at the end of this academic year.

Kirk collects her first CSC Academic All-District® recognition as a sophomore this season. She was named USTFCCCA All-Region in the outdoor hammer throw, finishing fourth in the Mid-Atlantic region with her mark of 49.91 meters while also appearing in the top-50 regionally in the indoor and outdoor shot put, outdoor discus throw, and indoor weight throw. A chemical engineering major, Kirk posted a 3.89 cumulative GPA at the end of the Spring 2025 semester.

The 2025 Academic All-District® Women's Track & Field teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track, in the field, and in the classroom.
