WILKES-BARRE, PA (August 1, 2025) -- With the team's report day just two weeks away, Head Coach Brandon Raynor announces the final addition to the King's College men's soccer coaching staff as Jean Baptiste Kagde joins ahead of the 2025 season.

"I'm incredibly excited to join the coaching staff at King's College and take the next step in my soccer journey," said Kagde. "My time at Alfred State shaped me as both a player and a person, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to give back to the game in a new role. I'm looking forward to helping the team grow and compete at the highest level."

Kagde enjoyed a successful playing career at Division III Alfred State as a three-time All-AMCC selection, including First Team as a senior in 2024. He totaled 12 points on three goals and six assists off 18 shots as a center back in 68 career games with 55 starts while leading the Pioneers to a regular-season title, AMCC Conference championship title, and an NCAA Division III appearance.

Off the field, Kagde worked within the athletic department at Alfred State, assisting with home games for winter sports. He also gained valuable coaching experience through his club, Riverflow Soccer Club, and through his internship at Rochester Total Sports Experience.

"We are excited to welcome Jean to the coaching ranks after a successful career at Alfred State as a student-athlete," added Raynor. "As a player, he was a big part of their successes, eventually becoming a conference champion. Knowing that we are in our building phase, Jean will bring a level-headed mindset and challenge the team daily to push us forward."

Kagde earned his bachelor's degree in sport management, business administration from Alfred State in 2025. His responsibilities will be to assist the staff in day-to-day tasks.
