WILKES-BARRE, PA (September 13, 2025) --
Gavin Hall remains alive in the No. 4 singles bracket entering tomorrow's matches as the sophomore led the King's College men's tennis team in the King's Fall Invitational on Saturday at Kirby Park.
Hall received a first-round bye in the No. 4 singles bracket and defeated Misericordia's player, 9-7, to advance to tomorrow's semifinals against Muhlenberg.
At No. 1 singles,
Tim John dropped an 8-0 decision to Lebanon Valley, while
Logan Tomkins fell by a score of 8-1 to Lycoming at No. 2 singles. The No. 3 singles bracket saw
Amir Samadian downed, 8-6, in a tough match with Misericordia, and
William Savner lost by a score of 8-1 to Eastern at No. 5 singles.
Zackary Bedwell advanced past Penn College in the first round of the No. 6 singles bracket before dropping the 8-0 final to Muhlenberg in the quarterfinals.
In doubles action, John and Tomkins fell in the quarterfinals, 6-0, to Lebanon Valley at No. 1 doubles, while Samadian and Hall were downed by Misericordia at No. 2 doubles. Savner and Bedwell battled back in their No. 3 doubles match before falling, 6-3, to Eastern.
Hall will compete in the No. 4 singles semifinals tomorrow morning as action is slated for a 9:00 a.m. start at Kirby Park.
