Williams Earns 1500th Career Dig as King's Blanks Penn College

WILKES-BARRE, PA (September 26, 2025) – The King's College women's volleyball team celebrated a milestone night on Friday, as senior libero Morgan Williams recorded her 1,500th career dig in a 3–0 sweep of Penn College at McGrane Gymnasium. The win lifts the Monarchs to 11–2 overall.

King's came out firing in the opening set, hitting .333 as a team while handedly beating the Wildcats 25-6. The Monarchs continued their rhythm in the second set, using a balanced attack led by Emma Bolich and Madisyn Heiser-Elsea to win 25–15. In the third, Penn College fought to keep things close, but King's held steady behind strong defense and timely kills, sealing the sweep 25–19.

The Monarchs posted 49 kills on a .312 hitting percentage while holding Penn College to a .054 clip. Bolich powered the offense with 13 kills at a .231 mark, while Bella Salvia added 12 kills and five digs. Heiser-Elsea and Milena Oberle chipped in 10 kills apiece, both hitting .600, and Theresa Lynch contributed 11 kills on .364 hitting. Setter Ariela Towsey directed the attack with 34 assists while adding eight digs, and Williams anchored the defense with 16 digs, reaching the 1,500-dig milestone. Riley McArdle also provided a strong defensive effort with six digs.

The Monarchs (11–2, 1–0 MAC Freedom) return to action Tuesday September 30, when they travel to face DeSales in conference play.
