DELHI, NY (October 1, 2026) - The King's College women's volleyball team returned to the win column on Thursday afternoon, sweeping SUNY Delhi in three sets at Floyd L. Maines Arena. The Monarchs controlled the match with set victories of 25-15, 25-9 and 25-15 to improve to 10-4 overall on the season.
Bella Boylan paced the King's attack with a match-high 11 kills on a .360 hitting percentage while adding 10 digs. Weronika Malinowski finished with six kills on nine attempts while collecting a match-high 16 digs. Ariela Towsey directed the offense with 21 assists and added seven digs and two service aces, while Isabella Horvat also recorded two aces. Saoirse Bilodeau contributed two solo blocks as King's held SUNY Delhi to a -.128 hitting percentage for the match.
The Monarchs wasted little time taking control of the opening set, scoring the first four points before extending their advantage to 12-4 behind an 8-0 run. Horvat recorded two aces during the stretch, while Boylan capped the run with a kill. SUNY Delhi pulled within five at 14-9, but King's answered with five consecutive points, highlighted by kills from Hannah Swinsburg and Malinowski, to build a 19-9 advantage. The Monarchs maintained control from there to take the opening frame, 25-15.
King's turned in its most dominant performance in the second set. The Monarchs raced out to a 6-0 lead before Boylan helped fuel another surge, recording five kills as King's stretched its advantage to 16-2. Malinowski added two kills later in the frame before Boylan delivered her sixth kill of the set to give King's set point at 24-9. An Emma Newman block finished off the 25-9 victory and gave the Monarchs a 2-0 advantage in the match.
SUNY Delhi stayed within one at 8-7 early in the third before King's broke the set open with seven consecutive points. Towsey served two aces during the run, while Malinowski added a kill to put the Monarchs ahead 15-7. King's later extended the advantage to 21-9 behind kills from Lindsay Arezina, Emma Bolich and Boylan. Delhi made a late push, but King's closed out the sweep with four of the final six points, including kills from Milena Oberle and Towsey, to secure the 25-15 victory.
The Monarchs return home to McGrane Gymnasium on Saturday October 3 when they host John Jay at 1:00 p.m..
