SELINSGROVE, PA (February 14, 2026)— The women's indoor track and field team competed at the SU Valentine Invite on Saturday, hosted by Susquehanna University. The Monarchs put together a strong performance on the day with multiple individual wins and top-10 results.
On the track, the Monarchs continued their strong showing in the relays, with the 4x200 meter team of
Ali Butcher, Katherine Smith,
Erin McLean, and
Ava Butcher finishing third overall in 1:48.74.
In the 60-meter hurdles,
Dani Rimsky placed 19th overall with a time of 11.62 seconds.
First year
Ali Butcher led the Monarchs in the 60-meter dash, finishing 12th overall with a time of 8.28 seconds. Freshman
Erin McLean placed 31st in 8.77, while junior
Sophia Hahn finished 33rd in 9.00. In the 60-meter hurdles,
Dani Rimsky placed 19th overall with a time of 11.62 seconds.
In the 400 meters, Katherine Smith won her heat with a time of 1:02.47, good for 4th overall, while
Samantha Adams placed 26th in 1:10.42.
Butcher finished fourth in the 200 meters with a time of 27.59, followed by Smith in sixth at 28.04. McLean took 16th in 29.37, and Hahn rounded out the Monarchs' entries in 24th at 30.56.
Soyer DeLucy placed 14th in the long jump with a mark of 4.73m, while
Abby Thompson finished 24th at 4.11m and Rimsky took 27th at 3.98m. DeLucy added an 18th-place finish in the triple jump with a mark of 9.23m. Thompson cleared 1.38m to place 17th in the high jump, while Rimsky matched that height for 22nd.
Brandy Varner led the Monarchs in the weight throw, taking first place with a toss of 15.94m.
Caitlin Kirk added a runner-up finish at 14.76m, while
Nayeli Moliere placed 25th with a mark of 11.33m. Varner continued her strong day with a first-place throw of 12.59m in the shot put, and Moliere added a seventh-place finish at 10.92m.
The Monarchs are back in action on Saturday, February 21 as the Monarchs head to Ithaca, NY to compete at Cornell University.
