GLENSIDE, PA (February 21, 2026) - King's women's basketball dropped its season finale on the road Friday afternoon, falling 62-50 at Arcadia in MAC Freedom action.
The Monarchs (9-16, 2-12 MAC Freedom) were unable to overcome a slow start, while Arcadia (17-9, 10-4 MAC Freedom) controlled the game from the opening tip inside Alumni Gymnasium.
Arcadia opened the afternoon with a 17-7 first-quarter advantage, holding King's to just two field goals in the period. The Monarchs found more rhythm in the second quarter, shooting 40 percent and knocking down three triples, but still trailed 31-25 at the break.
King's stayed within striking distance in the third quarter behind balanced scoring, but the Knights maintained their cushion and carried a 48-39 lead into the fourth. The Monarchs continued to battle in the final frame, shooting 40 percent, but could not trim the deficit in the 62-50 final.
Cadie Lewis led the Monarchs with 18 points, adding four rebounds, three assists, and two steals in 39 minutes. Lauren Casey recorded a strong all-around effort with 14 points and a team-high 12 rebounds for a double-double, along with three assists. Gianna Dickson added 13 points, including a pair of three-pointers.
Claire Aufiero pulled down three rebounds and grabbed a steal, while Irelynd Long contributed two rebounds defensively. Gabby Marsola paced the bench with three points and three rebounds.
As a team, King's shot 32.1 percent (17-for-53) from the field and 33.3 percent (6-for-18) from three, while forcing 12 Arcadia turnovers. The contest concludes the Monarchs' 2025-26 season.
