Box Score WILLIAMSPORT, PA (March 1, 2026) -- The King's College men's tennis team returned to action for the first time this spring, dropping their duals match to Susquehanna University by a score of 6-1 at the Central PA Tennis Center. The Monarchs fall to 0-3 on the season while the River Hawks improve to 6-2.
Tim John opened the day's action at No. 1 singles, yielding a pair of 6-1 results to Logan Rauschenberger. At No. 2 singles,
Logan Tomkins suffered consecutive 6-0 setbacks to Owen Miller.
Amir Samadian bounced back after a 6-0 first set loss to Austin Imhoof at No. 3 singles, collecting three points in the second set before ultimately falling 6-3.
Gavin Hall made his spring debut at No. 4 singles, falling to Tyler Hester by scores of 6-0 and 6-1.
At No. 5 singles,
William Savner lost a pair of 6-0 sets to Nathan Bassett.
Zackary Bedwell delivered the first victory of the afternoon for the Monarchs at No. 6 singles, jumping out to 6-2 victory in the first set before Nathan Hepner responded with a 6-3 win to force a pivotal third set. Bedwell prevailed with a decisive 6-0 decision to earn a point for King's.
The duo of John/Tomkins dropped their No. 1 doubles match to Rauschenberger/Imhoof, 6-0. Samadian/Hall suffered the same fate to Miller/Bassett at No. 2 doubles. Savner/Bedwell concluded the day's contest with a 6-1 loss to Peter Lewin and Finn Ordiway at No. 3 doubles.
The Monarchs are back in action on Saturday, March 21 when they host Alvernia University for their spring home opener at Kirby Park. First serve against the Golden Wolves is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
