ANNVILLE, PA (March 28, 2026) -- The King's College men's tennis team took on its first Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom opponent of the spring on Saturday afternoon, suffering a 7-0 setback to Lebanon Valley College at the Shankroff Tennis Center. The Monarchs slip to 0-5 overall and 0-2 in MAC play, while the Flying Dutchmen improve to 8-9 on the season and open conference play at 1-0.
Lebanon Valley set the tone early in singles action, controlling play across the top half of the lineup.
Amir Samadian drew the No. 1 singles assignment and was topped by Zachary Schrader, 6-1, 6-0.
Logan Tomkins battled at No. 2 singles, but was unable to gain traction against Adam Warren, falling by scores of 6-0 and 6-2.
Gavin Hall represented the Monarchs at No. 3 singles, dropping a 6-2, 6-1 decision to Mason Dissinger.
Zackary Bedwell followed at No. 4 singles and suffered a pair of 6-0 set losses to Gabe Schneider. The Flying Dutchmen closed out singles play with wins by forfeit at both the No. 5 and No. 6 positions.
Doubles play wrapped up the afternoon with Lebanon Valley completing the sweep. Hall and Samadian fell 6-0 at No. 1 doubles to Warren and Ethan Luu. In the No. 2 doubles match, Bedwell and Tomkins were defeated by Mason Bender and Jacob Erb by the same margin. The No. 3 doubles contest was decided by forfeit in favor of the hosts.
King's returns to the court tomorrow morning, hosting Rutgers-Camden in a morning meeting. The action against the Scarlet Raptors gets underway at 11:00 a.m.
