NEWTOWN, PA (March 31, 2026) -- The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) announced its weekly awards on Tuesday morning, with King's College senior Brandy Varner earning MAC Field Athlete of the Week honors.
 
Varner earns the recognition following a dominant showing at the Danny Curran Invitational, where she captured first place in both the shot put and discus with marks of 13.57 meters and 43.25 meters, respectively, while also placing eighth in the hammer throw at 48.54 meters. Her performances in the shot put and discus currently lead both the conference and the region, while ranking eighth nationally in the shot put and sixth in the discus.
 
The award marks Varner's eighth career MAC Field Athlete of the Week honor and her fifth during the outdoor season.
