CENTER VALLEY, PA (April 15, 2026) -- The King's College men's tennis team wrapped up Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom on Wednesday afternoon with a 6-1 loss to DeSales University at the DeSales Tennis Courts. The Monarchs move to 1-11 overall and conclude MAC Freedom play with an 0-5 record. Across the court, the Bulldogs improve to 3-7 on the season and level their conference record at 1-1.
DeSales opened the day picking up points across the lineup in singles play, though King's earned a hard‑fought result in the upper half of the draw.
Amir Samadian competed at No. 1 singles and fell in consecutive 6-0 sets to Patrick Buonacquista. At No. 2 singles,
Gavin Hall provided the lone point of the afternoon for the Monarchs, earning a 5-4 first‑set advantage before Frank Boffa was forced to retire, resulting in a win for Hall.
Logan Tomkins took the court at No. 3 singles and dropped a pair of 6-0 decisions to Christopher Gomez. At No. 4 singles,
Zackary Bedwell showed improvement in the second set but was defeated 6-0, 6-3 by Nicholas Ofak. DeSales added points by forfeit at the No. 5 and No. 6 positions, with wins recorded for Gavin Baldwin and Reynald Salazar.
Doubles play followed with the Bulldogs controlling all three flights. Samadian and Hall were defeated 6-0 at No. 1 doubles by Buonacquista and Baldwin. At No. 2 doubles, Tomkins and Bedwell fell 6-1 to Boffa and Gomez. The No. 3 doubles match was awarded to DeSales by forfeit.
The Monarchs men's and women's teams return to joint action on Friday, April 24 to conclude the 2026 spring season at Wilkes University. First serve from the Ralston Athletic Complex Tennis Courts is slated for 3:00 p.m.
