WILKES‑BARRE, PA (April 21, 2026) -- The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) announced its weekly awards on Tuesday morning, with King's College senior Brandy Varner earning MAC Field Athlete of the Week honors.

Varner earns the recognition following another dominant outing in the field events, highlighted by a first‑place finish in the shot put at 13.58 meters. She continued her exceptional form as she captured her second victory of the day with a school and personal record performance in the discus, breaking her own mark by 2.75 meters with a throw of 48.84 meters, the best mark in the conference, second in the region, and third nationally. She concluded the day with a second-place finish in the hammer throw with a mark of 48.85 meters.

The award marks Varner's ninth career MAC Field Athlete of the Week honor and her sixth during the outdoor season.
