Women’s Tennis Faces Lycoming in Road Setback

WILLIAMSPORT, PA (April 9, 2026) -- The King's College women's tennis team returned to action Thursday afternoon but was unable to overcome Lycoming College, falling 7-0 at Brandon Park. The Monarchs move to 0-8 on the season, while the Warriors climb to 2-9.

Singles play opened with Lycoming securing points across the lineup. Carlee Dellose competed at No. 1 singles and fell to Emma Kelchner by scores of 6-1 and 6-3. At No. 2 singles, Miley Caetano dropped a pair of 6-0 sets to Sadie Stahl.

Allison Van Pelt lined up at No. 3 singles and was defeated by Greta Kimble, 6-0, 6-0. The Warriors added another point at No. 4 singles as Madeline Sirianni fell to Yeanneth Rosado, 6-2, 6-1. Lycoming secured the final two singles points by default at No. 5 and No. 6, with wins awarded to Rayna Burke and Hannah Wood as King's was unable to field players in those positions.

Doubles play followed, with Lycoming earning wins in the two completed matches. Dellose and Caetano were topped 6-1 at No. 1 doubles by Kelchner and Stahl. At No. 2 doubles, Sirianni and Van Pelt fell 6-2 to Kimble and Cassandra Conner. The No. 3 doubles match ended in a forfeit favoring the Warriors after the duo of Reyna Kirick/Rosado went unopposed.

The Monarchs are back in action tomorrow afternoon, hosting Penn College at Kirby Park. First serve against the Wildcats is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
