.WILKES-BARRE, PA (July 6, 2026) -- The countdown to the 2026 King's College football season is underway as head coach Mike Cebrosky unveiled the Monarchs' schedule on Monday afternoon. King's will host six opponents at McCarthy Stadium this fall, including the 30th annual Mayor's Cup game and Homecoming Weekend, while competing in a pair of home night games during the 2026 season.
 
King's open the 2026 campaign at home against cross-town rival Wilkes University in the 30th annual Mayor's Cup game with kickoff set for Thursday, September 3 at 7:00 p.m. at McCarthy Stadium.
 
The Monarchs then turn their attention to its Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) schedule as it opens league play against Stevenson University on September 11 at 7:00 p.m. under the lights in the home conference opener. The Red and Gold hit the road for the first time of the season on September 19, traveling to Alvernia University before returning to McCarthy Stadium for Homecoming Weekend against Widener University on September 26 at 1:00 p.m.
 
Following the bye week on October 3, King's travels to defending MAC champion Eastern University on October 10 for a 12:30 p.m. kickoff. The Monarchs return home to host Lebanon Valley College on October 17, travel to FDU-Florham on October 24, and welcome Delaware Valley University to McCarthy Stadium on October 31.
 
King's concludes the road portion of its 2026 schedule at Albright College on November 7 before returning to McCarthy Stadium to host Misericordia University in the regular-season finale on November 14. The Monarchs will honor their senior class prior to the 1:00 p.m. kickoff.
 
The top-seeded team in the MAC will receive an automatic bid to the 2026 NCAA Division III Football Championships, while the next three seeded teams will compete in the annual Centennial-MAC Bowl Series on November 21.
