WILKES-BARRE, PA (August 17, 2026) -- A challenging mix of non-conference tests and Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom competition awaits the Monarchs this winter as head coach Caitlin Hadzimichalis unveiled the 2026-27 King's College women's basketball schedule on Monday afternoon. King's is set to play a 25-game regular-season slate, including 12 home contests in McGrane Gymnasium and 16 MAC Freedom matchups.
 
The Monarchs open the 2026-27 campaign at the Lafrance Hospitality Tournament, hosted by UMass Dartmouth, on November 7 and 8. King's will take on the host Corsairs in its season opener on November 7 at 7:30 p.m. before competing in either the tournament consolation or championship game the following day. The Monarchs then return to McGrane Gymnasium for their home opener against Penn State Abington on November 12 at 7:00 p.m.
 
Following the home opener, King's welcomes Gwynedd Mercy to McGrane Gymnasium on November 14 at 1:00 p.m. before making road trips to SUNY Morrisville on November 21 and cross-town rival Wilkes on November 24. The Monarchs then return home to close out the month against Keystone College on November 28 at 2:00 p.m.
 
MAC Freedom play begins on December 2 when the Monarchs host Delaware Valley at 7:00 p.m. King's remains at home to take on Cheney on December 5 before traveling to Lebanon Valley on December 15. The final game of the 2026 calendar year will take place on December 30 with a road trip to Centenary.
 
The new year begins on January 3 as the Monarchs host DeSales at 2:00 p.m. King's then travels to Arcadia on January 6 before returning home to face Misericordia on January 9 at 1:00 p.m. Road conference contests at Stevens on January 13 and Marywood on January 16 precede a home matchup against FDU-Florham on January 20 at 7:00 p.m. King's returns to action with road games at Delaware Valley on January 27 and DeSales on January 30.
 
February begins with three consecutive home contests as the Monarchs welcome Lebanon Valley on February 3 at 7:00 p.m., Arcadia on February 6 at 1:00 p.m., and Stevens on February 10 at 7:00 p.m. King's then travels to Misericordia on February 13 and FDU-Florham on February 16 before closing the regular season at home against Marywood on February 20 at 1:00 p.m.

The 2027 MAC Freedom Tournament is set to begin with a play-in game on February 22, followed by semifinal matchups on February 24. The 2027 MAC Freedom Championship is scheduled for February 27, with the winner earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship.
