WILKES-BARRE, PA (September 21, 2026) -- Following another strong week of competition, King's College Athletics has named first-year goalkeeper Tierney Hogan of field hockey and junior forward Santiago Javadpour of men's soccer as the Monarchs of the Week.

Hogan, a first-year goalkeeper from Hatboro, Pa., recorded 36 saves on 43 shots across two games for King's last week. Hogan opened the week with a standout performance against Scranton, making 24 saves on 29 shots, which ranks as the fifth-most single-game saves in program history. She followed that performance with 12 saves on 14 shots against Neumann.

Through the first six games of the season, Hogan has started all six contests and played all 360 minutes in goal, recording 68 saves on 85 shots faced for a .800 save percentage.

Javadpour, a junior forward from Bethesda, Md., delivered a standout performance in King's 3-1 victory over Union College last Wednesday at McCarthy Stadium. Javadpour scored twice on three shots in the 47th minute, finding the back of the net twice within a span of just 25 seconds to help the Monarchs secure the victory.

Through the first seven games of the season, Javadpour is tied for the team lead with two goals, ranks second on the team with 17 shots and is tied for second with seven shots on goal.

The Monarchs return to action Tuesday, as men's soccer travels to Gettysburg College for a 7:00 p.m. matchup. Field hockey returns home Wednesday, hosting Susquehanna University at 7:00 p.m.
