Monarchs Open the Season at the Misericordia Invitational

DALLAS, PA (September 4, 2026) -- The King's College women's cross country team kicked off the season with a third-place team finish at the Misericordia Invitational on Friday evening.

First year Emelia Kerr led the Monarchs by placing first on the team and 19th overall with a time of 17:32.8 in her collegiate debut, while first year Savannah Cronauer placed 28th overall and finished second on the team in 18:00.6.

Sophomore Evelyn Sahd earned 29th by crossing the line at 18:12.6, just behind Cronauer. First year Madalyn Danko placed 32nd overall in 18:23.6, and senior Mara Ryan completed the team scoring with a fifth-place team finish and a 34th overall finish in 18:42.6.

Juniors Sarah Hartzell and Lindsey Eyer placed 35th and 36th, respectively, running times of 18:43.0 and 18:44.06, while first-year Hannah Hartzell got 42nd in 21:19.4.

The Monarchs will return to action on Friday, September 18th at 4:15 p.m., where they will travel to the Greenspring Cross Country Course hosted by Stevenson University.
