Biography

Dr. Matt Kaster joins the King's College baseball coaching staff for his first season in 2025. Kaster brings a great amount of college and professional playing experience as a First Team All-Conference selection as a relief pitcher. He then pitched professionally for the Florence Freedom in the Frontier League in 2017.

Dr. Kaster is responsible for working with Associate Head Coach Jerry Bavitz to enhance the development of the pitchers on the varsity and junior varsity teams. He is also responsible for providing presentations and activities to enhance player's study skills and organization as part of the team's academic monitoring program.

Personal
  • 2017 graduate of Wilkes University with a degree in biology.
  • 2022 graduate of Wilkes University with a Master's in Business Administration and Doctorate of Pharmacy.
  • Member of the Wilkes baseball team from 2014-2017 and earned All-MAC Freedom First Team honors in 2016 as a relief pitcher.
  • Signed and pitched for Florence Freedom of the Frontier League in 2017.
  • Resides in Mountain Top, Pa. with his wife, Dallas.
