Frank Butry

FRANK BUTRY

Frank Butry enters his first season as a member of the King's baseball staff. His primary duties include serving as a bench coach on game days, along with  the development of the catchers and outfielders on both the varsity and junior varsity teams.  Butry is also responsible for assisting Coach Olizarowicz with the development of the hitters. He also assists with scouting and recruiting duties.

Butry, a former catcher/outfielder at Florida County Community College in Jacksonville Florida, owns a great deal of amateur coaching experience over the past 20 years. He is also very involved in the local community serving on the board of trustees for the Bear Creek Community Charter school and the zoning and hearing board for Bear Creek township. He also served as the vice president of Bear Creek Baseball and Soccer leagues.
 

Butry, who retired after a 22 years in the United States Navy (9 active duty and 13 reservist), served a tour of duty in the Middle East during Operation Desert Storm. 

He is currently employed as the Director of Environmental Services at Little Flower Manor in Wilkes-Barre. 

Coach Butry resides in Bear Creek with his wife Cheryl and sons Frankie and Brandon.
