Jeff Distasio enters his first season as the Hitting Coach / Academic Enhancement Coordinator for the King's baseball program. He is responsible for the development of the hitters on both the varsity and junior varsity teams. He is also responsible for assisting with scouting and recruiting duties.
As Academic Enhancement Coordinator, Coach Distasio is responsible for providing the Monarch players with presentations and activities to enhance study skills and organization as part of the team’s academic monitoring program.
Distasio was a former standout and team captain at Division I Georgia Tech. He held the single season record for home runs, doubles and RBI’s. Jeff, a 1986 draft choice of the San Francisco Giants was a four year starter for the Yellow Jackets. Coach Distasio earned a degree in applied psychology from Georgia Tech, and is currently employed as the Director of Marketing for Benco Dental in Pittston.
He resides in Mountaintop with his wife Dana and his daughters Devon and Raegan.
