Biography

John Pack enters his sixth season as a member of the King's baseball staff in 2021, as Assistant Coach (Defense) / Personal Development Coordinator. Coach Pack’s primary coaching responsibilities are serving as first base coach on game days, along with the defensive development of the position players. He is also responsible for coordinating and monitoring player placement and progress in summer leagues.
 
Pack's primary focus as Personal Development Coordinator is to incorporate individual and group activities into the program to improve players’ confidence, concentration, and composure, while enhancing players' understanding of important life lessons. Coach Pack also assists with coordinating special events and administrative duties for the program.
 Personal
  • Earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from King’s in 1980
  • Was a four year starter at shortstop and third base for the Monarchs
  • Earned first team All MAC as a Third baseman in 1980
  • Employed as Vice President of Business and Finance for Everbank Commercial and Financial
  • Has a great deal of amateur coaching experience, as he has served as the coach for Nanticoke American Legion team and Bloomsburg Storm U18 travel team
  • Also served as a NCAA and PIAA umpire for twenty five years 
  • Resides in Hanover Township with his wife Cathy, daughter Kirsten and son Christian
  • Christian was a four year starter at shortstop, and one of the top offensive / defensive players in King’s College Baseball history
