Mark Kaster enters his eight season as a member of the King's baseball staff, and his seventh year in the position of Special Assistant for Sports Psychology and Personal Development.

Kaster's primary focus is to incorporate individual and group activities into the program to improve players’ confidence, concentration, and composure, while enhancing players' understanding of important life lessons. He also provides presentations on academic enhancement to help improve players study skills and organization. Coach Kaster also assists with areas of need during practice sessions and games, and in coordinating special events for the program.

Kaster recently retired as a Lt. Colonel from the United States Air Force. He has a great deal of amateur coaching experience, as he has coached teams in Beligum, Virginia and Iowa.

Kaster earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from Iowa State, then went on to complete a Master’s of Science degree in Business Administration from Troy State in Alabama and a Master’s of Science Degree in Meteorology from Saint Louis University.

Coach Kaster resides in Mountain Top with his wife Tracy, son Matt, and daughters Amanda and Abigail.
