Steve Mason enters his second season as the Defensive Coach / Scouting Coordinator for the King's baseball program. He is responsible for the defensive development of the infielders and outfielders on both the varsity and junior varsity teams. Steve also works closely with Coach Distasio with the scouting and recruiting process.
Mason also works closely with Coach Steve Distasio with the scouting and recruiting process. He is responsible for coordinating staff coverage at showcases / tournaments and advance scouting of opponents.
Mason, a former standout shortstop at division II West Chester University, graduated in 2000 with a B.S. in Kinesiology and a minor in coaching.
For the past eight years he has been employed as a Health and Physical Education teacher at Pocono Mountain West High School. He also served as an assistant baseball and football coach at Pocono Mountain West.
He resides in Scranton.
