King's College Athletics

Matt Dessoyed joined the King's College men's basketball coaching staff ahead of the 2023-24 season and just completed his second season at the conclusion of the 2024-25 campaign.

Dessoye's duties will include recruiting, scouting, practice preparation, and administrative tasks as a member of the King's men's basketball coaching staff as he completed his first season on the Monarchs sidelines.

• Assistant Coach, Boy's Basketball, Hanover Area (2017-23)

• 2022 graduate of Penn State Scranton with a degree in business and a concentration in marketing and management.
• Competed for the men's basketball team at Penn State Scranton and averaged 19.6 points, shooting 43.3%, 4.3 assist with a 1.8 assist-turnover ratio, 3.5 boards, and 1.3 steals per game.
• Two-time PSUAC All-Star, a USCAA All-American, and the 2022 Penn State Scranton Male Athlete of the Year.
• Two-time team captain for the Nittany Lions.
• Competed for the men's basketball team at Luzerne County Community College and was named Team MVP both seasons.
• Finished as the third all-time leading scorer in LCCC history.
• Native of Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
