Michael Grace

MICHAEL GRACE


Michael Grace enters his first season as an assistant coach with the King's College men's ice hockey team and will play a major role in the Monarch program as it enters its first year of NCAA Division III varsity competition.

A native of Rochester, NY. Grace comes to King's after spending the past four years with the Mississippi Riverkings of the Southern Professional Hockey League. During his time in Mississippi Grace played in 223 games and registered 89 points on 12 goals, and 77 assists as a defensemen. He was named to the 2013-14 SPHL All-Rookie Team.

Grace played his collegiate hockey at NCAA Division III Plattsburgh State University in New York where he was a four-year varsity performer. He helped Plattsburgh to a pair of State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) championships; three NCAA Division III national tournament berths in 2011 and 2012; as well as a spot in the 2010 NCAA Division III "Frozen Four".  

He was a three-time All-SUNYAC selection, earning first-team honors in 2012, second-team status in 2011,  and third-team in 2013. In 2012, he was named an American Hockey Coaches Association second-team All-American.  He was also the recipient of the Plattsburgh State University Senior Achievement award in 2013.

He graduated from Plattsburgh with a degree in Business Administration and Marketing with a minor in Accounting.

Grace played his junior hockey with the Albany Capital District Selects of the Eastern Junior Hockey League.
