Michael Kuruc

MICHAEL KURUC

Kuruc joined the King's College staff in the summer of 2019. He is a 2019 graduate of Syracuse University where he worked with both the men’s and women’s ice hockey programs in his four years in upstate New York. While receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management with a minor in Sport Event Management he was a goaltender and team manager for the men’s club team that played in the American Collegiate Hockey Association and a video coordinator and member of the operations staff for the Division I women’s program.

His responsibilities as the team manager of the men’s team included overseeing the official scoring, public address announcing, and activating promotions. His responsibilities for the women’s program that won the 2019 College Hockey America conference Championship included handling the team video and making sure it was uploaded after games, creating pre-scout video, and in-game footage.

Kuruc is no stranger to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area having worked for the SWB Railriders as a sales intern during the 2016 and 2017 seasons. He also completed an internship with the Dick’s Sporting Goods Open in Endicott, New York during the summer of 2018.
