King's College Athletics

The King's College athletic department and Associate Vice President and Executive Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreation Cheryl Ish are pleased to release a much-anticipated announcement. On Friday afternoon, Ish revealed former men's lacrosse standout and assistant coach AJ Bungert as the next head men's lacrosse coach. Bungert becomes just the fourth head coach since the program became a varsity sport in the 1998-99 academic year and replaces Andy Orlowski who guided the King's men's lacrosse program for the past 20 years. He completed his fourth season as head coach for the 2026 season.

• Bungert has posted an overall record of 9-50 and 4-25 in MAC Freedom play.

• Coached Ryan Lynch ('26) who became the program's all-time goals leader, along with the records for single-season goals scored most goals scored in a game. Lynch also finished his career with the second-most goals in a game second-most points in a game, third in total points in a career, fourth-most points in a season, and sixth-most goals in a season.
• In 2026, the team tied for the most goals scored in a season with 136 and finished third in assists with 70 for an all-time second best total of 202 points.
• The last three starting goalies (Matt Wall '23, Jackson Campbell '24, & Ryan Rickards '26) for the program finished their careers with over 300 career saves.
